Reflexology and Yoga

Maternity Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle, nurturing treatment that can support you through pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. It offers a natural and safe way to help your body adapt to the many physical and emotional changes during this time, while also giving you space to rest, reflect, and connect with your baby.

It can be used alongside the care provided by your midwife, health visitor, or consultant. Increasingly, reflexology is being recommended to help manage common symptoms of pregnancy and promote overall wellbeing.

During Pregnancy

Regular reflexology treatments can help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and support relaxation. This may ease symptoms such as:

  • Anxiety and overwhelm

  • Tension and fatigue

  • Sleep difficulties

  • General aches and discomfort

  • As your body relaxes, breathing often deepens and becomes more nourishing, supporting both you and your baby and helping to prepare your body for birth.

Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) can also be used to support oedema (swelling), particularly in the feet and ankles.

 

Postnatal Support

The postnatal period brings significant physical and emotional change. Reflexology can offer valuable support during this time, helping to:

  • Reduce stress and promote relaxation

  • Support hormonal balance

  • Encourage rest and recovery

 

Sessions are designed to be flexible and supportive.Babies are always welcome and you’re free to feed, settle, or rest during your session. Treatments can include gentle reflexology for your baby or simple techniques you can use at home.

Fertility:

 

Reflexology may also support those experiencing fertility challenges, particularly where stress is a contributing factor. By helping to calm the nervous system and reduce overall stress levels, reflexology can create a more supportive environment for the body.

Pregnancy Yoga:

Pregnancy yoga supports both physical and emotional wellbeing, helping you prepare for birth and beyond. It can:

  • Build strength and flexibility

  • Encourage deep relaxation

  • Support breathing techniques useful during labour and to support sleep

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

 

One-to-one sessions are ideal if you prefer a more personalised approach or are unable to attend group classes. Each session is tailored to your needs, ensuring you feel confident, supported, and comfortable in your body.

Sessions can also be combined with reflexology where appropriate.
